Thanks for dogs and cats
This is Lady the wonderful dog I brought home from the Humane Shelter five weeks ago. She takes up ninety-eight percent of my time. She loves everybody. And she needs love, I think she was mis-treated where ever she lived before. My last dog, actually my son's dog, was with us for twelve years. She was run down by a speeding car, in a rainstorm back in July. Needless to say we were heartbroken and this ole house wasn't the same. My son said, "No more dogs."
I know he wanted a dog as much as I did, even Max the Cat needed a dog.
One day, after a doctor appointment, the doc upped my Prozac by 10mg, I went to the County Humane Society and looked at six or seven dogs but hadn't seen one that looked right. Then I spotted a medium sized black dog standing quietly looking straight at me. She didn't move, except for her sad eyes and they went straight through me.
An hour and sixty-five dollars later Lady and I were on our way home. The first couple of days Rick wasn't too impressed and I thought I might have made a mistake, but one day Lady and I sat on the porch when Rick came driving in the driveway from work. Lady barked twice and ran out to the truck and jumped on the door with her front feet, tail awagging like crazy, and now we are a happy family again, of course it took a few days for the cat and dog to become pals. They never did offer to attack each other but were a little stand-offish. Now as I said before...we are one big happy family. . .and that's the truth. . .
